Our present funeral home located at 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville, and has been continually remodeled to meet the needs of our community. We have ramps at the entrances, and are completely handicap accessible. We have three large chapels, which offer sufficient space and casual comfort for even the largest families. Many families bring food into our family lounge, which offers a quiet place to eat, and to rest.
We have a very large 400 gallon fish aquarium in our lobby, which adds tranquility to the atmosphere. Many local people come to see our fish display, even when they are not visiting a family.
Staff
Scott Funeral Home was founded by William M. (1899-1976)
& Lois B. Scott (1901-1992) in 1930. Their son, William B.
Scott, continued as a funeral director, followed by grandson,
William M. Scott, and great-grandson, William W. Scott. Granddaughter,
Jean Dooley and her husband Michael Dooley are also included.
Shirley Anderson is our secretary, and Darlene Lewis is our
Pre-Need Counselor.
We are affiliated with the following professional organizations: Independent Funeral Directors of Indiana, National Funeral Directors Association, Fortis Family Insurance Company, the Funeral Directors Association of the Falls Cities, and the Indiana Funeral Directors Association.
