Carol Eggenspiller Lanum

Funeral services for Carol E. Lanum, 73, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 8 PM and after 9 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. She passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014.
Carol was born on March 13, 1941 in Louisville, KY, to Karl E. and Katherine M. Eggenspiller. She graduated from Atherton High School and attended the University of Louisville. On December 19, 1959 she married her husband, Robert W. Lanum, and moved to Jeffersonville. She was a loving, caring and devoted mother and grandmother to her children, Kent W. Lanum (Dalene) of Jeffersonville, IN, Sarah A. Roe (Pete) of Jeffersonville, IN; and grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Laythe (Brian), Katherine A. Cooper and Reagan W. Lanum, all of Jeffersonville, IN.
There was nothing she would not do for her children and grandchildren, and loved them dearly.
Carol was a very active person and was an avid golfer among her many talents. She was a member and Past-President of the Ladies Golf Association of the Jeff Elks Country Club and active in the golfing organizations in the Louisville Metro area for many years.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
