Joan Noel Obituary
Funeral services for Joan Louise Noel, 76, of Jeffersonville, Indiana will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1840 E. 8th Street in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville. She passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center.
Joan was born on July13, 1938 in Williamstown, Pennsylvania to the late Harry and Mary Sallada. She was Valedictorian of Williamstown High School Class of 1956. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was previously a member of the Women's Auxiliary Knights of Columbus.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John Noel; six children with five surviving children, Francis Noel, Lisa Gill and her husband Steven, Barbara Chapman and her husband Neil, Jamey Noel and his wife Misty, Leon Noel; thirteen grandchildren, Robert Colwell, Matthew Noel, Stephanie Noel, Kaitlin Gill, Joshua Growe, Joseph Growe, Danielle Self and her husband Chris, Kasey Noel, Josey Noel, Gracy Noel, Dorian Noel, Taylor Noel, Jack Noel; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Noel; her step-father, Felix "Gep" Long; and three siblings.
