Lawrence Temple Obituary
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Lawrence "Tinker" Temple, 59, of Clarksville, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Sunnyside Assembly of God, 3200 Holmans Lane in Jeffersonville, IN. Scott Funeral Home of Jeffersonville is entrusted with the arrangements. He passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014.
Tinker was a Barber at Temple's Barber and Style in Clarksville for 40 years and graduated from Clarksville High School in 1973. He loved to fish and hike in his free time as well as being a "Trekkie." He was known for his ability to entertain his clients at the Barbershop while cutting their hair. Spending time with his daughter Gilly was the most important thing in his life. Most of his clients knew Gilly from the pictures and the stories he shared.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Rose Collene Temple; and step-mother, Rennah Temple.
He is survived by his daughter, Larken "Gilly" Gillian Temple; father, Lawrence "Chief" Temple Jr.; sister, Dawn Temple-Mills (Charles); brother, Richard Temple; step-sister, Barb Gardner; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Temple Family. Envelopes will be available at the church.
