Cecil Hodge

Cecil Hodge, 88, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on April 10, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 2 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Cecil, born on December 29, 1935, in Brewton, Alabama, to the late Sanford and Thelma Hodge, was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He later served as a civilian in the Department of Defense with the Air Force. Cecil cherished his family, dedicating himself to supporting his sons in their endeavors. In his leisure, he found joy in golf, was an avid bowler, and often spent his free time hiking, especially while serving in Europe.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Christa Hodge; sons, David Hodge (Faye Houser) and Steven Hodge (Dawne Davis Hodge); sister, Betty; and two grandchildren, Lauren Hodge (Brandon) and Daniel Hodge.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
