James "Jimmy" Cardwell Jr.

James “Jimmy” Cardwell Jr, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 with his loving family surrounding him. He was born December 31, 1967 in Jeffersonville, IN to James and Linda Cardwell.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Maezell Brown and James and Febbie Cardwell.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle Cardwell; his sons, Alex and Jered (Emily Columbia) Cardwell; 4 grandchildren, Jaxtyn, Jace, Salem, and Janie; brother, Jerry (Kelli) Cardwell; aunts, uncles, nephews; and countless friends.

Jimmy was a former JHS Red Devil player and coach. In addition, he also coached at River Valley and Parkview Middle Schools. He was a long time employee of Jeffersonville Parks Department.

Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway on Friday, April 12 from 12:00 to 8:00 pm with his funeral service at 6:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
