has two types of broadcasts. The first type is a "low
band "broadcast. This link is for people with computers
that are accessing the internet with a standard analog phone
line. The second is a "high band"broadcast. This
link is for people with computers that are accessing the
internet with a high-speed internet connection. This broadcast
provides a larger, cleaner, and better sounding picture.
Troubleshooting
Tips
The services are recorded in the current highest quality
audio and video formats to stream over 56K plus and high-speed
connections.
Video
Issues:
Video is poor or jittery. When viewed with slower modems
or when net congestion occurs, delays or temporary stoppages
in audio and video play are normal. Windows Media will pick
up where it left off after re-buffering the transmission.
Jittery
video is a normal effect when broadcasting video over the
Internet if the end viewer has a slow internet connection
and this should be considered normal.
Buffering
Issues
No Audio or Video is playing. Audio and video should begin
to play in less than two minutes after selecting your service.
If it does not, select "tools" from Windows Media's
text menu and select "options" from the dropdown
menu. Click on the "performance" tab and make
sure that buffered play is set to "buffer at least
30 seconds before playing". If this setting is incorrect
Windows Media Player will buffer the whole service before
playing.

Audio Present:
Does
your system have a sound card?
If
your system does have a sound card, check to make sure that
your speakers are firmly plugged in and turned on. Next
go to your windows volume control area by Clicking on the
start button and selecting programs from the menu. From
the next menu select accessories and then select entertainment.
Select volume control from the entertainment menu. Check
to see if green bars are appearing indicating
your input level is active. Check to make sure this level
is not set too to low. Check to make sure that your wave/direct
sound input or your play control inputs are not muted. Muted
inputs will be identified with a check mark.
Audio
Sounds Distorted:
The distortion occurs because the audio level coming down
from the web site through the Real Player software
is too broad ranged for your soundcard or your audio input
levels are set to high.
Your
Windows system is equipped with a volume control that displays
input levels. Click on the start button and select programs
from the menu. From the next menu select accessories and
then select entertainment. Select volume control from the
entertainment menu. Check to see if red bars
are appearing indicating your input level is active. Check
to make sure this level is not set too high or to low. If
you have the type of Windows volume control, with input
indicator, adjust the sliders down until the input is not
driven into the red or to low in the green.
