Alma Ilene Fuchs, 86, of Sellersburg, IN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon CST on Monday, November 25, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 2500 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN, with burial to follow.  Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM CST on Monday at the cemetery chapel. 

Alma was born on February 9, 1933 in Booneville, IN to the late J.E. and Marie Madden.  She was a homemaker and beloved mother of eight, and a seamstress by trade.  She was a longtime member and taught Sunday School for 17 years at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Evansville, IN.  She shared the love of auto racing with Norman and was known by Miss Norm at the race tracks.  She was a friend to many and loved to help those in need.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Norman Ray Fuchs; two children, Norman K. Fuchs and James A. Fuchs; and nine siblings.

She is survived by her children, Gregory A. Fuchs (Suzy), Kenneth B. Fuchs (Norma), Cherie L. May (Greg), Susan M. Strange (Jeff), Brian J. Fuchs (David), and Danny R. Fuchs (Pamela); 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
