Funeral services for Lorilee Sue (Gordon) Ward, 55, of Clarksville, Indiana, will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 PM and on Thursday from 3-5 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. She passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020.
Lorilee was born on December 1, 1964 in Columbia City, Indiana. She grew up working on the family farm where she inherited her green thumb from her beloved grandfather, William Pettigrew. One of her favorite pastimes was teaching her grandchildren how to bake homemade cookies. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be deeply missed by her family.
She was a true patriot and always put others before herself. Lorilee was Past-President of the Clark County Republican Women and volunteered on numerous local and national level campaigns. She proudly served this area as the sign coordinator for the Trump 2016 Campaign. Lorilee also coordinated Wreaths Across America for Clark County, Indiana, while being an active member of the community, whom served on several boards.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Pettigrew; a brother, Dennis Gordon; and her grandfather, William Pettigrew.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Donald Ward; two daughters, Chantelle (Adams) Thomas (Brad); Darci (Adams) Schiller (Brandon); a step-son, Adam Ward (Angie); her father, Dale Gordon (Marla); nine siblings, Trena Gordon, Kevin Gordon (Chasity), Danielle White (Daniel), Eric Gordon, Adam Gordon (Elizabeth), Alyssa Wade (Gus), Andrea Magnuson (Austin), Aimee Kistel (Taylor), Andrew Gordon (Sydney); fourteen grandchildren, Emma, Hunter, Donathan Handshoe, Brayden, Marah, Paisley Thomas, Lottie, Hadley, Porter, Edie Schiller, Harper, Asher, Lincoln, and Ollie Ward; seventeen nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
