Shirley Sue (Willard) Leach

Shirley Sue Willard Leach, 84, passed away on November, 15, 2019.  She was an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church and served at Province Nursing Home as the activities director. Shirley taught at IUS as a German professor and also taught high school in New Albany and Jefferson County.  She loved to play the piano and enjoyed playing for others.  Shirley was a caring person who wanted nothing else but to make others around her happy. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Keith Leach; mother, Pauline Kennedy Willard and sister, Kate Hart.

Shirley is survived by her son, Chris Leach; daughter, Beth Leach; granddaughters, Luci and Astia Leach; great- grandson, Ezekiel Morgan Leach; brother, Michael Willard; sister-in-law, Beverly L. Brown and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial gathering will be November 20, 2019, from 12pm-2pm with a celebration of Shirley’s life beginning at 2pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.

Shirley’s final wish was to be cremated.
