Vernetta Miller, 86, of Corydon, IN, passed on December 29, 2019.

Vernetta was born on June 20, 1933 to the late William and Myrtle Walker.

She was a nurse for the VA hospital for many years until retirement.  She enjoyed her church family, and her faith was very important to her.   She was very loved and cared for by her caregiver, Linda Clark, to whom her family is very grateful.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Miller, husband, Russel Johnson; father of her children, James Johns; daughter, Pamela Warren; and brother, James W. Walker.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Steve Johns;step daughter,Jan Whitsitt; sister, Betty J. Barrow; brothers, J.C. Walker, Charles L. Walker, and Alfred L. Walker; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A pray service for Vernetta will be held on Friday,January 17, 2020 at Scott funeral home at 2:00 PM.

Scott Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation.  A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
