Albert L Hardin

Albert “Shorty” Hardin passed away on May 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, hard work, and compassion.

Shorty proudly answered the call to serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His military service reflected the courage, dedication, and patriotism that remained evident throughout his life.

Following his time in the Army, Shorty became well known throughout the community as a skilled and dependable tow truck driver. Whether assisting stranded motorists in difficult circumstances or offering a helping hand to someone in need, he approached his work with professionalism, kindness, and genuine compassion. His willingness to help others earned him the respect and friendship of many people whose lives he touched over the years.

Above all, Shorty cherished his family. He is survived by his children, Karen Bowyer, Albert Hardin II, Val Hardin, and Alicia Hardin; eleven beloved grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has been chosen.

Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Shorty will be remembered for his service to his country, his dedication to his work, his generous spirit, and the love he shared with family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
