Allen Bernard Robinson Pinkston, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on April 24, 2026.
Born on August 8, 1947, in Washington, D.C., Allen lived a life defined by strength, faith, and deep love for his family. He distinguished himself early on as an All-American in track at Kentucky State University, a reflection of his discipline, perseverance, and quiet determination.
A devoted member of Prince of Peace Church in New Albany, Indiana, Allen was a man of unwavering faith. He spent countless hours studying the Bible, writing down scriptures, and growing in his relationship with God. Known for his kind and gentle spirit, he made it a habit to bless others, often offering a heartfelt “God bless you” to everyone he encountered.
Allen found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. He loved cooking—especially his pork chops—and never passed up a chance to enjoy a good meal, with fried chicken being one of his favorites. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his family, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Nicole G. Lambus (Charles); his sons, Marcus Pinkston and Wesley Pinkston; and his cherished grandchildren, CJ (Denni), Kamaren, Karah, Savanna, Kierra, Reyana, Davonte, and Jayla. He also leaves behind four beloved great-grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Allen’s life was a testament to faith, love, and kindness. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him and were touched by his gentle spirit.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 7:00pm at Brighter Day Anderson Temple C.O.G.I.C, 1755 E. 8th Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130
