Andrew “Andy” Holley, born May 11, 1979 in Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Andy lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and a genuine love for people that touched everyone who knew him.
From an early age, Andy showed an appreciation for life’s simple blessings. As a boy, he would wake before dawn to run his newspaper route, often making time to cast a fishing line before heading off to school.
Andy had a rare gift for making people feel valued, and loved. Whether greeting a nine-month-old baby or sharing a conversation with someone in their nineties, Andy welcomed everyone with warmth and sincerity. His positive outlook and faith were central to who he was. He loved speaking about the Lord and asking others for prayers for himself and others.
He is survived by his loving mother, Jennifer Mauzy Holley; his brother, William Adam Holley; his aunts, Rebecca McKee and Marty Gilstrap; his uncles, David Holley and family, Jeff Mauzy (Shirley) and William Kennedy (Wendy); and his cousins, Oh, Nathan, Lara, Emily, Ben, Dillion, Clelia and Cassandra (Nikolai).
Andy was preceded in death by his father, William Clark Holley; his grandparents, William Charles and Anna Holley and Leon “Gene” and Luetta Mauzy; uncles, Don McKee and Kelly Gilstrap and cousin, Matthew.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the The Church of The Open Door and to the staff at Hillcrest Nursing Home and Rehab for the compassion and care they provided Andy.
A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Church of the Open Door, 1221 Silver Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
