Ann Gorey Northam

Ann Gorey Northam, 72, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 15, 1949 in Paris Kentucky to the late James and Margaret Gorey.

Ann was a graduate of St. Mary School in Paris, KY, Cardome in Georgetown, KY, Thomas Morre College, and Spalding University. Her teaching career included St. Mary School, Paris KY and St. Paul School, Sellersburg, IN. She was Director of Religious Education for her parish, St. Augustine and The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Jeffersonville, Indiana for over 31 years. Ann enjoyed working her word search puzzles, watching soap operas and vacationing with her family at Hilton Head Island.

Ann was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Addie Koch; brothers, James, Owen, and Edward Gorey. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Stephen R. Northam. They were married June 16, 1973 at The Church of the Annunciation in Paris, KY. She is also survived by her daughters; Katie Koch(Charles) of Cynthiana, KY and Tracy Northam of Jeffersonville, Indiana; granddaughters, Sutton, Delaney, Charleigh Koch of Cynthiana, KY; siblings, Helen Lyons(Bill) of Jacksonville, FL, Alice Taylor of Lexington, KY, Robert Gorey(Susan) of Cincinnati, OH.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 3-8pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana . The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine Church, 315 East Chestnut St., Jeffersonville, Indiana on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11am with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Augustine Church Window Renovation Fund (St. Augustine Catholic Church 315 E. Chestnut St., Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).
