Anthony "Coach Beau" Beauchamp Obituary

Anthony William Beauchamp, "Coach Beau", age 57, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Albert William Beauchamp Jr. and Delores Johnson.  Anthony was a member of Greater Salem Baptist Church where he gave his life to Jesus Christ at an early age.

Anthony Beauchamp attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School (PRP) where he graduated in 1986.  He then went on to attend Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.  He was on the football team and received an Academic All-America Award from K-State.  He was a proud Thorobred, attending alumni events and looked forward to attending homecoming every year.

He later went to work for JCPS where he was a substitute teacher for 8 years and worked for the Census Bureau for 12 years until his retirement in 2025.  During this time, "Coach Beau" accepted coaching jobs in Louisville at Seneca, Southern and Iroquois High Schools.  He also coached several youth football leagues in Louisville, was an assistant coach for basketball teams at JB Atkinson Elementary and the Boys and Girls Club for many years before moving to Indiana to coaching his son and daughters JPYFL for many years.

Anthony was on the coaching staff at Parkview Middle School, and went on to join the coaching staff for the football team, girls and boys shot put and the track and field at Jeffersonville High School. For 14 years he enjoyed running his booth at the Derby Park Flea Market, where he was known as "Coach" by his customers.

Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Albert William Beauchamp Jr., grandparents, Albert Beauchamp Sr., and Bessie Carr-Beauchamp, George Fulton Harper and Ethel Mae Harper and his son, Quincy Anthony Beauchamp.

He leaves behind his mother, Delores Johnson (George), his lifelong partner/ fiancé of 28 years, Patrice Towns, brother, Nathaniel Beauchamp, children, Kijana Beauchamp, Keleb Beauchamp (Morgan), Denzel Beauchamp, Kaylea Beauchamp and step-children, Shaquille Towns and Demetria Towns, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and his beloved animals.
