Ashley Marie Draper Criswell

Ashley Marie Draper Criswell, age 36, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 18, 1989, Ashley lived her life with compassion, warmth, and a heart as big as the world around her.

Ashley was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a beautiful spirit and a heart of gold—always willing to help others, never hesitating to give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Her kindness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A lifelong animal lover, Ashley dedicated her time as a volunteer at the Tri-County Animal Shelter, where her gentle nature and nurturing soul brought comfort and hope to countless animals. Whether it was sharing laughter with friends or making memories with family, Ashley found joy in life’s simplest and most meaningful moments.

Ashley is lovingly survived by her husband, Daniel Criswell Jr.; her beloved children, Danny Ray Criswell III and Destiney Kay Criswell; her parents, William “Bobby” Robert Sr. and Brenda Draper, step-father, David Kemp, brothers, Daniel Draper, Bobby Draper Jr. (Ashley), and Brandon Jones; and her treasured nieces and nephews: Daniel Draper Jr., Jaylin Draper, William Robert Draper III, Jacob Draper, Hailey Draper, and Hunter Draper. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, her dog, Jolly, who brought her endless comfort and love.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Esther Leffler; her aunt, Crystal Leffler; and her uncle, John W. Leffler. Their memories live on in the hearts of those Ashley held dear.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. A funeral service celebrating Ashley’s life will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ashley’s kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will be remembered always. Though she is no longer with us, her light will continue to shine in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
