Barbara Allen Dyer, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024. She was born on November 30, 1934, in Utica, Indiana, to Thomas J. Bruner and Irma Brendle Bruner.
Barbara was a devoted homemaker and later worked as a factory worker, known for her dedication and kind spirit. She loved reading, sewing, and cheering for college basketball, especially her beloved Louisville Cardinals and Indiana Hoosiers. However, her most cherished role was being a grandmother, and her grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Patrick Dyer, a sister, Patsy Morrow. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Susan Baskett (James) and Dawn Scully (Thomas); her cherished grandchildren, Robert Baskett, Jessica Baskett, Thomas Scully (Alyson), and Caroline Scully; her niece, Kate Jones; and many friends and neighbors.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the friends and staff at Brownsboro Park Retirement Community for their compassionate care. Barbara was a faithful member of the Utica Church of Christ and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Utica Church of Christ or Hillcrest Cemetery.
