Barbara Anita Faith, age 78, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Hazard, Kentucky, Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Talmage and Fern Tincher. She carried with her the quiet strength and enduring spirit of her Appalachian roots, and those qualities would go on to define a life rich in service, love, and faith.
For over 30 years, Barbara was a devoted employee at K-Mart in Jeffersonville, where she faithfully served in numerous roles—including manager. To coworkers and customers alike, she was more than just a familiar face; she was a steady presence, known for her integrity, warm smile, and unwavering work ethic.
But her most treasured title was “Mom.” Barbara supported her daughters wholeheartedly in every endeavor, always ready to lend a listening ear or hop in the car for a spontaneous trip—no matter the distance or direction. Her selfless devotion to her family was evident in every phone call returned, every grandchild spoiled, and every meal shared around the table.
Barbara was also a longtime, faithful member of Hamburg Pike Church of Christ, where her quiet faith and genuine heart touched all who knew her. Her church family was an extension of her own, and she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and service.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tom Faith; daughters, Jennifer Stewart (David), Melissa Hart, Rebecca O’Rorke (Shane), Alicia Goddard, and Ashley Davis; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and siblings, Wallace Tincher (Billie Jo), Harold Tincher (Debbie), and Cathy Modzelewski.
Visitation will be held from 5–8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Hamburg Pike Church of Christ. A memorial service celebrating Barbara’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
