Bill (Harry William) Isenberg, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, at Baptist Floyd Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 12, 1945, Bill lived a full and meaningful life defined by hard work, humor, and deep devotion to those he loved.
Bill was known by all as a true jokester, someone who could bring laughter into any room and brighten even the hardest days. He carried that lighthearted spirit throughout his life, balancing it with a strong work ethic and unwavering loyalty. He took great pride in his work, always giving his best, and was deeply respected for his dedication. In 1970, he founded Isenberg Concrete Walls, building the business from the ground up with determination and grit. Through decades of tireless effort, he grew it into a lasting legacy, never missing a day or a beat. His commitment and craftsmanship left a meaningful mark on the construction industry and on all who had the privilege to work alongside him.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—attending car shows, watching classic westerns, and in his younger years, fishing and hunting. One of his favorite places was the family lake house at Barren River Lake, where he made countless cherished memories with those he loved. Bill also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, including his beloved companions, Moose and Rip, and his grand dog Daisy.
Above all, Bill cherished his family. His love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was especially evident; they brought him immense pride and happiness, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Verice and Nelda Isenberg; his beloved son, Pat Isenberg; and his brothers, Ricky, Roger, and Freddy Isenberg.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Tommie, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. He also leaves behind his children: Tammy Isenberg (Paula), Lisa Simpson (Shawn), Jarrett Isenberg (Ashley), and Brady Isenberg (Emilee). He was a proud grandfather to Matt Isenberg (Megan), Kelsey Jenkins (Michael), Bailey Hochadel (Philip), Karson Isenberg (Taegen), Konnor Isenberg (Ashley), Carter Isenberg, Paisley Isenberg, Cole Isenberg, Zayne Simpson, Emberlynn Simpson, Kinsley Isenberg, Layla Isenberg, Mae Isenberg, and Kathleen Dones (Lee). He is also survived by his siblings: Joan Meadows, Joeletta Emberton (Paul), Abby White (Allen), Steve Isenberg, Todd Isenberg (Betty), Max Isenberg, and Martha Vinson (Travis), along with his daughter-in-law Nancy Isenberg, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will all deeply miss him.
Bill’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and dedication—a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
