Brian Nelson Myers

Funeral services for Brian Nelson Myers, 47, of Utica, Indiana, will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Utica.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM and on Saturday from 9-10 AM at the funeral home.  He passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at his home. 

Brian was born on January 12, 1974 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  He graduated from Jeffersonville High School and the Mid-America College of Funeral Service.  Brian worked over 20 years for Pearson Funeral Home in Louisville.  He was a member of the Clark County Casting and Conservation Club in Utica, Indiana.  Brian loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing.  He could often be seen driving his antique tractor around Utica.  Brian was a big fan of bluegrass music and he played with several bands over the years. 

Brian was preceded in death by grandparents, Rose and Nelson Myers; Juanita Davis; and his aunt, Jane Carol McKinney.

He is survived by his parents, Larry Nelson and Chris Myers; a brother, Brad Myers; an uncle, Mike Myers Sr. (Annie); three aunts, Missy Davis Elrod, Elizabeth Davis Yienger (Bob), Joyce Morrison; nephew, Josh Grimsley; niece, Kierstynn Myers; cousins, Mike Myers Jr. (Vicky Haire), Jennifer Nevitt, Courtney Nevitt, Grace Yienger, John Yienger, Greg Morrison, Shelly Gaither, Caydence Johnson, Brooklyn Todd, Aleigha Todd, Xander Langdon, Kaliyah Langdon; his partner, David Goff; and his faithful companion, Rose.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Utica Police Department for Toys for Christmas 2022, or to your favorite charity.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
