Charles Arthur Hoehn, 83, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on September 23, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 315 E. Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM on Tuesday at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.
Charles was born on January 19, 1938 in Jeffersonville, IN, where he was a lifelong resident. He attended St. Augustine grade school and graduated from Jeffersonville High School. After graduation, he joined the Kentucky National Guard before entering the United States Marine Corp to serve his country. He retired from Rainbow Bakery after 33 years. He loved to fish, boat on the Ohio River, and was an avid fan of car racing. He attended 42 consecutive Indianapolis 500 races, and loved travelling with his friends in the Fordebago to countless NASCAR races.
Charles spent his mornings with the McDonald’s Coffee Club, where they did their best to solve the world’s problems. He was also a member of the John F. Kennedy Knights of Columbus #1348.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur H. and Nina M. Hoehn; and twin sister, Rose Marie Moon.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Judy (Chambers) Hoehn; children, Dennis L. Hardin (Wilma), Larry Brian Hardin, Rebecca L. Roach (Jeff), and Eric L. Hardin; grandchildren, Matthew Hardin (Mary Catherine), Amanda Hardin, Joshua Roach, Sara Roach (Justin), Mary Elizabeth Hardin, and Joseph Graves; great-grandchildren, Maycin, Adalynn, Oliver, and Mattox; sister-in-law, Kay Wolfe; and numerous loving cousins.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Association of Clark County, Southern Indiana Animal Rescue or the Animal Protection Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
