Charles "Scooter" Jackson Lassiter

A memorial visitation for Charles “Scooter” Jackson Lassiter, 41, of Charlestown, Indiana, will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 12-2 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville.  He passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 and cremation was chosen. 

Scooter was born on February 25, 1980 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He worked as both a bartender and cosmetologist.  Scooter was very talented and he loved to sing and play his mother’s piano. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Lewis; four siblings, Kenny Nessel, Steven Lassiter Jr., Keena Marie Nessel, and Elizabeth Nessel; and a great niece, Maiya Blackman.

Scooter is survived by his father, Steve Lassiter; four siblings, Allison Hollis (Lance); Patrick Nessel; Wesley Lassiter (Keegan); Todd Lewis (Heather); his lifelong best friend, Eddie Purvis; grandmother, Pearl Caton; step-dad, Ron Lewis; nieces and nephews, Lashun, Jon Jon, Gage, Ashley, Gage Dale, Jake, Alyssa, Lane, Landyn, Parker; numerous great nieces and nephews; his faithful companions, Nala, Bubba; and his nurse ratchet, Wrigley.
