Charlie Milburn

Charlie Milburn, 75, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 23, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Willis and Lillie Mae Milburn.

A devoted family man, Charlie will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband who cherished his time with those dear to him. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love.

Charlie was a proud retiree of Jeff boat, where he worked as a skilled welder, and Colgate, where he served as maintenance and union steward.

In his retirement, Charlie’s greatest joy came from attending his great-grandsons' baseball games. He was their biggest fan, cheering them on from the sidelines and sharing in their triumphs.

Charlie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melba Milburn; his sisters, Mary Jones and Laura Chandler; and his brother, Stanley Milburn.  

He is survived by his son, Kelly Milburn; his daughter, Charity Norris; his son-in-law, Jim Norris; his grandsons, Anthony Norris, Kawika Glover, and Kahala Glover; his granddaughter, Kaley Milburn; and his great-grandsons, Rayden Norris and Keoni Glover. He is also survived by his sister, Chloe Arrow; and his brother, Willis Milburn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana. A funeral service to celebrate Charlie’s life will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., also at Scott Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

One of Charlie’s final requests was that contributions be made to Performance Baseball Club 13u, in lieu of flowers being sent. Envelopes and a donation box will be available at the funeral home. Checks can be made payable to Performance Baseball Club 13u.
