Charlotte Ann Siegel, age 92, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 4, 1932, in Uniontown, Kentucky, to the late Phillip and Mary Howard McCallister, Charlotte's life was a testament to faith, family, and community service.
A 1950 graduate of Presentation Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, Charlotte married Charles Siegel and together they raised four children. She was a founding member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jeffersonville, where she dedicated countless hours volunteering for Bingo and Card get-togethers, the cafeteria, and the parish council. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her.
Charlotte's professional life included roles at Clark County Hospital and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, where she was known for her dedication and compassion. She was also an active member of the Clark County Republican Party and a passionate advocate for the Jeffersonville Little League, showing her commitment to the betterment of her community.
More than anything, Charlotte will be remembered as a devoted woman of faith who raised her family in the love and admonition of the Lord. Her legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles, and her granddaughter, Melissa Singleton.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Thomas Siegel (Lisa), Karen Singleton, Deborah Grimes (Dave), and Charles Siegel (Suzanne); six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11 a.m., with interment following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway - Jeffersonville on Thursday, July 25, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Lady of Providence High School.
