With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of Christian David Smith Sr. announces his passing on December 1, 2025. Born on August 8, 1977, Christian lived a life defined by faith, service, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
Christian was a man whose strength was matched only by his compassion. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he served his country with honor and was stationed in Fort Stewart and Iraq. After his military service, he dedicated seven years working for the VA, where he poured his heart into helping fellow veterans secure the benefits they earned and deserved—a mission he approached with deep empathy and devotion.
Christian later established Integrity Maintenance in Lanesville, Indiana, a business that became a true reflection of his values. More than a company, it was a family he built on loyalty, honesty, and hard work. He took pride in devoting himself to IMS, and loved his employees and the clients they served. He was especially proud of his Fairfield neighborhood and community.
A man of deep faith, Christian approached life with gratitude and purpose. Whether cheering on his beloved Buffalo Bills, savoring a good bourbon, or sharing a laugh with those he loved, he embraced every moment and lived life to its fullest. He had a remarkable gift for helping others—often quietly, always sincerely—and he never hesitated to show up for anyone in need. His heart was generous, his spirit sincere, and his presence a source of comfort and strength to many.
Above all else, Christian loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Candice, and their children: Irelynn Smith, Grant Smith, Adrien Smith, Zach Smith, Avery Smith (Angelina), David Smith (Yaddy), and Christian Jr. Watts (Jasmyn). Grandchildren: William, Samuel, Silas, Solomon, and Sampson, and his niece Renni. Siblings: Abram (Julie) Michael Smith, Mathew Smith, and Jason West. Christian is also survived by his loving parents, Russell and Linda West, his loyal team at Integrity Maintenance, and his beloved dog, Cinnamon, who never left his side.
The legacy Christian leaves behind is one of love, honor, faith, and unwavering loyalty. His memory will endure in the countless lives he touched, the family he adored, and the example he set.
