Christopher Shane Russell

Christopher Shane Russell was born June 23rd 1969 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky and died peacefully with his wife by his side on July 13th 2024 at the age of 55. Shane is survived by his wife of 36 years Amy Russell, their two children Brandon Russell (Katie), Dakota Russell, his two grandchildren Madelyn Russell, Benjamin Russell, and his fur babies Bailey & Bodhi Russell. 

He is also survived by his mother Linda Russell, father Tom Russell (Helen), and brother Thomas Russell. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Elmer Cooper, Maurine Cooper, Paul Russell, and Laverne Russell.

Shane devoted his life to his family and enjoyed volunteering throughout the community with several organizations including CCSA, Big Brother Big Sisters, and Habitat for Humanity. He was a lifelong sports fan who enjoyed cheering on the Cardinals & Lou city. One of his proudest accomplishments was walking across the stage with his son Dakota at the age of 54 earning his Bachelors degree in Business Administration.

Shane was an amazing husband, father, and pop-pop who will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 

Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville on Saturday, July 20 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm with sharing of memories at 5:00.
