David Ray (Sr.) Brown

David Ray Brown, Sr., age 60 of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Son of the late Raymond Earl Brown, Sr., David found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching his favorite television shows, often channel surfing to discover something new. He also cherished the natural beauty of the outdoors, especially the peacefulness of water. He loved to gaze at the lake behind his mother’s home and visit the riverfront to feel the sun and breeze on his face.  He enjoyed the quiet moments found while fishing.

David was preceded in death by his beloved young son, David Ray Brown, Jr.; his sisters, Theresa L. Thomas and Lisa J. Timberlake; and his loving grandmother, Betty L. Hamilton.

He will be deeply missed by those who loved him most, including his mother, JoAnn Milliner, and his sister, Debra Bushua (Kirk) of New Albany.

Honoring David’s wishes, he will be cremated. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
