David Harold Hawkins

David Harold Hawkins, 69, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2021 surrounded by his family. 

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.  Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Paoli Community Cemetery, S. Elm Street, Paoli, IN 47454. 

David was born on July 3, 1952 in Salem, IN and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Valparaiso University and Master’s Degree in Music from the University of New Mexico. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Martha Hawkins; sister, Marcella Miller (Jess); and

David is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Mary Jo Hawkins; daughter, Cassandra Hawkins; step-children, Rebecca Carter (Kevin), and E. Cortney Post; grandchildren, Taylor Helm (Garrett), Paige Post, Dylan Post, Madison Post, and Adison Carter; siblings, Gerald Hawkins (Margaret), Deborah Hart (Devon), Phillip Hawkins, and Rachel Roccia (Randy); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
