Denis McClish, age 71, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Born on May 6, 1953, in South Bend, IN, Denis served honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, working aboard the USS Constellation. He was honorably discharged on January 17, 1977.
After serving his country, Denis took on various roles in the transportation sector, always focused on serving his community. For the last 27 years, he delivered packages throughout southern Indiana, forming strong bonds with those on his route and always carrying dog treats in his pocket for his furry friends.
Denis found peace in being near the water, whether it was a river or the pond at his home. He also had a knack for playing pool and could fix just about anything.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Kathy Lovan, his daughter, Emileana Graupmann, his stepsons, Chris Lovan and Kyle Lovan, his sisters, Rosemary Easterday and Crystal Wedekind, five grandsons, and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by Ray, Donna, Vesper Dewayne McClish, Marilyn Lee Thomas, and Crystal Odell Graham.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 4th, at 300 Spring, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
