Dolly Marie Phillips

Funeral services for Dolly Marie Phillips, 89, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in IOOF Cemetery in Carrollton, Kentucky.  Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Livestreaming of Dolly's service will be available at www.facebook.com/scottfuneralhome.  She passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. 

Dolly was born on January 1, 1931 in Carrollton, Kentucky, to the late William Clarence Banks and Hattie Kathleen Howard-Banks.  She was a longtime member of Order of the Eastern Star and United Methodist Women.  Dolly was an active member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church and she volunteered for 29 years at Clark Memorial Health.    

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Phillips; and three siblings, Mary Lou Banks-Enders, James R. Banks, and William Douglas Banks.     

She is survived by her three daughters, Teresa G. Cooper (Philip), Cynthia M. Herron, Lori A. Sheffield (Daniel); a brother, Alan R. Banks (Anita); eight grandchildren, Philip Patrick Cooper (Jennifer), Karen Cooper, Stacy Finney (Mike), Amanda Gleitz (Stephen), Emily Burke (Scott), Kyle Briner (Erin), Donovan Sheffield (Hannah), Derek Sheffield (Emily); and thirteen great grandchildren, Melia, Michele, Morgan, Emma, Ava, Addison, Andrew, Carter, Molly, Callahan, Charlee, Emerson, and Solomon. 

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
