Donald Huff Obituary

Funeral services for Donald Lee Huff, 77, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1840 E. 8th Street in Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville and after 9 AM on Thursday at the church.  He passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital.   

Don was born on March 16, 1942 in Tell City, Indiana, to the late John and Ruth Hinton-Huff.  He graduated in 1960 from Tell City High School where he played basketball and was part of the team’s successful Regional win his senior year.   Don was an accountant and along with his late wife, Pat Huff, they owned and operated The Trophy Case, which supplied trophies and awards for many years.  He previously coached football and basketball at Sacred Heart Catholic School and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Don was an avid IU fan, a Cleveland Browns football fan, and he enjoyed golfing.  He was a Kentucky Colonel, member of Knights of Columbus and the Jaycees.  He will be deeply missed by his loving family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Huff. 

He is survived by his wife, Susan Wheatley-Huff; seven children, Michael Anthony Huff (Erin); Sandra Elizabeth Block (David); James Patrick Huff (Anna); William Matthew Huff; Paul Frederick Huff (Kim); Jason Andrew Huff; Jennifer Lynn Maria Beavin (Josh); his sister, Janice Reid (William); two step-children, Aren Elizabeth Capps (Tim); Craig Joseph Wheatley (Amy); twenty grandchildren, Brad, Adam, Courtney, Samantha, Alexandria, Jennifer, Nicole, Victoria, Sharon, Ryan, Abigail, Emma, Katie, Jayce, Mackenzi, Cole, Addison, Avery, Rex, Nola; and eight great grandchildren, Patrick, Oliver, Christian, Emily, Kristin, Isaac, Patrick, and Aubrey.

Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Envelopes will be available at the church.
