Donna Marie Hurte Kittrell

Donna Marie Hurte Kittrell, age 69 passed away at her home on Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born in Louisville, KY on April 15, 1955 to the late Thomas A. Hurte Sr. and Ruth Marie Gardner Hurte.

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas A. Hurte Jr and David B. Hurte.

She is survived by her husband, Rusty Kittrell; children, Katrina Marie Kittrell Galligan (Charlie), and Travis Lee Kittrell (Elaine); 4 grandchildren, Gavin Galligan, Lydia Kittrell, Kole Galligan, and Lennox Kittrell.

Before retiring, Donna worked at American Commercial Barge Lines for 19 years and Bacons/Dillards for 12 years. She loved to go shopping and traveling, especially to the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid member of the Republican party. During her later life she enjoyed providing political commentary to friends and family in hopes that they would see the light.

A celebration of her life will be held at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway on Monday, June 24 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a service at 6:00.
