Doris June (Bottorff) Marble

Doris June Marble, age 80, passed away May 12, 2024. She was born in Charlestown, IN on March 7, 1944 to the late John Jr. and Lois Bottorff.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her brother, John Wayne Bottorff and her daughter-in-law, Shelley J. Marble.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dean Marble; her children, Dawn McCaskill and David Marble (Leaha); grandchildren, Meredith McCaskill Thornton (Patrick), Sydney Tomlin (Nicholas), Alexa and Elle Marble; and siblings, Dale Bottorff and Donna Bolton; great-granddaughter, Esme Tomlin.

Doris enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and tending flowers. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Growing up on her family farm was always near and dear to her heart. Over the last few years, she loved playing Candy Crush and was known for her unfiltered honesty and genuine spirit.

Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville on Thursday, May 16 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm and again on Friday from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 12:00. Burial will follow in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
