Funeral services for Douglas “Zip” Alan Byrn, 51, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 1-8 PM at the funeral home. He passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.
Doug was born on June 19, 1969 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and he was a member of the Brothers of Honor Motorcycle Club in Clarksville, Indiana. Doug enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid University of Louisville fan. He enjoyed vacationing to the beach and going boating with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Byrn; and two siblings, Donnie Byrn and Sharon Winburn.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Dana Brister Byrn; three children, Kaitlynn Gater (Amanda); Reagan Byrn; Tristan Byrn; his mother, Wilma Byrn; three nieces, Chelsea Winburn; Sierra Montgomery; Kearstin Kawa; nephew, Dylan Montgomery; two great nieces, Tynleigh Mackey; Kaylee Balzan; sister-in-law, Donna Montgomery; and his best friend, Robert “Bacon” Smith (Jackie).
Memorial contributions can be made to the Brothers of Honor Motorcycle Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
