Eamon Charles Goodrich, age 9, of New Albany, IN, passed away on July 25, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at First Christian Church of Jeffersonville, 3209 Middle Road, Jeffersonville, IN, with a private burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Friday and after 9 AM on Saturday at the church.
Eamon was born on July 13, 2015 in St. Paul, MN, to his loving parents, Natalie and Christopher Goodrich. As a young child, Eamon spent many hours on walks and playground trips with his mother, as well as disc golf outings and trips to the library/rec center with his father. In 2017 Eamon transplanted with his family to Southern Indiana, where he thrived with new parks, libraries, church, and school families. He became a big brother at age four and demonstrated everything you would expect from an older sibling. When he grew older, Eamon developed into a voracious reader, a promising mathematician, and an avid gamer. Eamon approached the world with curiosity and compassion.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Brynn Goodrich; grandparents, Fred and Sue Gilbert, and Jay and Michelle Goodrich; great-grandmother, Karen Goodrich; aunts and uncles, Gabe and Kim Gilbert, Vanessa Gilbert-Meredith and Brett Meredith, Ben Gilbert, Adrielle Goodrich, and Eric Goodrich; cousins, Maddy, Ellie, Rosie, Bruce, Scarlette, and Aiden; and numerous extended family and close friends.
Eamon was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Leon and Kate Cook, Jim Goodrich, David Bayak, Charles and Estelle Stander, and Leroy and Virginia Gilbert; and uncle, David Goodrich.
