Edward T. Hall, age 85, of Sellersburg, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Louisville, surrounded by the warmth and love of his devoted family.
Known affectionately as “Ed” to those who knew him, he built a legacy rooted in hard work, humility, and integrity. Ed began his professional journey as a longtime employee of the Courier Journal, where he developed a keen sense for detail and a deep appreciation for community. He later transitioned into the world of accounting, eventually founding Hall Financial Services, where he earned the trust of countless families and individuals as a reliable advisor in insurance, investments, and financial planning.
Outside of his professional life, Ed was most at peace when surrounded by nature. He found great solace casting a line from his boat and cherishing the quiet moments on the water. Fishing wasn’t just a pastime, it was a way of connecting with the world and reflecting on life.
Ed was preceded in death by his loving parents, Thomas and Goldie Hall, and his beloved son, Michael Hall.
Left to carry forward his legacy are his children: Mark Hall (Lovena), Cindy Sommerville (Brian), and Lisa Hall Long; his dear sisters, Regina Hall and Pat Waguspack (Phillip); 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, and a niece.
In honoring Ed’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. A memorial celebration of his life will be held in the coming days, where stories will be shared, tears will be shed, and laughter will echo in remembrance of a man whose life was well-lived.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville.
