Elizabeth "Liz" (Wilson) Cherry

Funeral services for Elizabeth “Liz” Cherry, 58, of Charlestown, Indiana, will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-6 PM at the funeral home.  She passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 in her husband’s arms.

Liz was born on March 13, 1964 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Gilbert James Wilson and Carolyn Tate.  She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany.  Liz will forever be remembered as a classy lady who had an infectious laugh and hilarious comments that always made her a joy to be around.  Liz was a selfless lady who always put her family first.  She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.  Liz was a wonderful cook and an avid University of Kentucky fan.  She enjoyed attending games with her husband, Ron.  Liz also enjoyed crafting, music, dancing and concerts.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Liz is survived by her loving husband and soulmate of 36 years, Ronnie Cherry; three children, Holly Hogan (Brandon), Devan “DJ” Cherry (Erin), Jessica Randol (Nathan); four siblings, Linda Wilson (Brenda), Tina Cherry, Johnny Hardy, Cheryl Trobaugh; and eight grandchildren, Abby, Nicole, Jaxten, Lylah, Harper, Henry, Bella, and Evan.
