Ellen Shively Obituary

Ellen Long Shively, 83, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on October 28, 2020 peacefully at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant in the presence of family.

 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 7, 2020 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Scott Funeral Home.

 

Ellen was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on April, 18, 1937.  She graduated from Jeffersonville High School and attended community college for a period of time.  Ellen was married to Raymond Lee Shively on October 19, 1957; they were married 59 years before Raymond’s passing on November 20, 2016.

 

Ellen spent most of her career as a tax preparer for various companies including H&R Block.  She was passionate about travel and visited numerous countries around the world with friends and family. She was actively involved in the church for many years and was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

 

Ellen is survived by her two children, R. Scott Shively and his wife Beth; Rebecca Caron and her husband Jeff; her 4 grandchildren Andrew Caron, Sarah Shively, Rachel Shively, and Emily Herman and her husband Colson.  Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shively and her parents, E. Prescott Long Sr. and Dorothy M. Long and brother Ed P. Long Jr.
