Frank Decker Jr. Obituary

Frank Decker Jr., 83, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, friends and family are asked to remain in their vehicles for a drive-by visitation to pay respect to Frank and his family and if possible, wear something blue in honor of Frank.  The drive-by visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 2-4 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville.  The private funeral service will be held at 4:30 PM and livestreaming of the funeral service will be available at www.facebook.com/scottfuneralhome.  Burial will take place at a later date in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Frank was born on September 8, 1937 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Frank Sr. and Marie Decker.  He retired as a machinist from Colgate Palmolive in 1992 after 30 years and was a Medical Aidman in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Augustine Catholic Church. Frank lived his life to the fullest and he always said, “I got to do everything I ever wanted to and I’ve lived a great life!”  He will also be remembered by his family as being the funniest person ever with the fewest words spoken.  He was famously known for scheduling every evening around his beloved show Jeopardy.

Frank was a devoted family man, who enjoyed life very much. He enjoyed golfing, trips with family and friends, playing cards, working the crossword puzzle every day, cooking his famous ribs for family and the K of C golf outings, and most of all, watching the Kentucky Wildcat games with his brother Larry.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Burnis Graham Decker; four children, Steve Decker (Sharon), Tony Decker (Kim), Sherry Pollard (Don), Tracy Foster; his inherited son, Eddie Voyles (Julie) and family; two siblings, Larry Decker (Betty) and Vera Seawright; brother-in-law, Bruce Graham (Jeanie); Mike Davis, a brother in crime. Seven grandchildren, Heather, Nicole, Emily, Elle, Kayla, Kara and Jason. Nine great-grandchildren: Devyn, Ashtyn, Zachary, Kenzi, Aislin, Regan, Miran, Larkin, Bailey, Marlee, and Lauren.

Memorial contributions in memory of Frank, can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life Dinner will be held at a later date at the Knights of Columbus in Jeffersonville.
