Franklin McKenzie Shands Jr., 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday morning surrounded by his loving family. Scott Funeral Home has been entrusted with his services and cremation.
Franklin was born November 26, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Franklin was 100% service connected disabled Vietnam Veteran.
A funeral service for Franklin will be held at 4 PM on Thursday August 27, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation from 2 PM to 4 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Franklin Mckenzie Shands Sr. and Colleen Shands; Father and Mother in-law, Kenny and Juanita Ryan; and Brother in-law, Donald Lee Ryan.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 16 years, Lisa Shands; two sons, Phillip Settles and Tyler Ryan-Pierce (Leah), and one daughter, Julian Ryan-Pierce; adopted children, Jada and Jamon Howard; three grand-children, Michael Allen Pierce, Arabella McKenzie, and Kaylee Marie; extended family Doug and Ashlee Morris; extended in-laws and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
