Gary "Brian" McCowan

Gary "Brian" McCowan, 58, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on March 29, 2025. He was born on March 19, 1967, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Brian was a devoted father, loving son, cherished brother, and proud grandfather. He is survived by his children, Alex Brian McCowan and Michael Henderson; his mother, Deborah Gedling; his brothers, Steve Gedling (Christine) and Bubby Gedling (Misty); and his sister, Tracey Lynn Hall (Thomas). He was also a beloved grandfather to Ethan, Alexia, Christian, CheyAnn, and Aerionna. His faithful companion, his dog Toby, held a special place in his heart. Brian is also survived by eight nieces and nephews who adored him.

Brian was an avid Colts and Cardinal fan.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.
