Herbert Barker Obituary
A memorial service for Herbert Howard Barker, 78, of Jeffersonville will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11-2 PM at the funeral home. He passed away on Wednesday at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.
He was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School and later retired from Commonwealth Life Insurance Company in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Edith Jane Barker; a sister, Eula Mae Andres; and a granddaughter, Aleesa Forsee.
Herbert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Glenna Barker; two daughters, Kendra Forsee and her husband Michael; Lisa Lee and her husband Joseph; two siblings, Louise Ranney and her husband Michael; Donald Barker and his wife Donna; and four grandchildren, Kari Forsee and her husband Tony Iweagwu; Bryan Reker; Joey Lee; and Brian Lee and his wife Kendall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
