Jackie L. Love

Jackie L. Love, 89, passed away on October 15, 2021. There will be a visitation held at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 1:00PM – 7:00PM as well as on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana.

Jackie was born to the late Oscar & Bernice Love on May 3, 1932 in Arlington, Indiana. He was a graduate of Arlington High School. He was stationed in Iceland with the Air Force 1949 – 1953 where he met his first wife Louise Spivey. Together they had 3 children, Erma (Bill O’Mary), Pam (Jerry McHugh), and Allen Lee (Katherine Grider). He lived in Jeffersonville, Indiana his entire adult life. He spent most of his career employed with Calanese Corp and retired in 1991. He went on to marry Elsie Rothrock in 1981. She passed away in 2019. He was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Jackie enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling.

Jackie is preceded by his first wife Louise, second wife Elsie, his parents, his siblings; Oscar Love Jr., Janet Lee, David Love, his grandchildren; Thaddeus Love and Brook Love.

He is survived by his sister Judy Haywood, his three children, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
