James C. Caudill

James C. Caudill, age 84, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026. He was born on December 1, 1941, in Letcher County, Kentucky, and lived a life defined by faith, service, and devotion to family.

James was a proud United States Army veteran who carried his sense of duty and honor throughout his life. A deeply God-fearing man, he loved the Lord wholeheartedly and lived his faith through kindness, humility, and compassion for others. Family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved.

He dedicated many years of his life as a skilled machinist with Palmolive/Colgate, a career he took great pride in. Beyond his work, James had a servant’s heart. He found joy in giving back to his community, regularly volunteering at local food pantries and helping those in need without hesitation.

James is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patsy; his son, Andrew Caudill (Christy); his daughter, Malia Caudill; his sister, Sherry Snead; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.R. and Thelma Mae Caudill; and his siblings, Donald Caudill, Arnold Caudill, Jeanette Dixon, Geraldine Hogan and Fred Caudill.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Military honors, along with Masonic and Eastern Star services, will take place prior to the funeral service.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Westminster Nursing Home for the exceptional love, compassion, and care shown to James during his time there.

James will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his generous spirit, and the deep love he had for his family and community. His legacy of service and kindness will live on in all who knew him.
