James Leonard Fox, 68, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on December 12, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Frank and Dorothy Fox. James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. He was a private person, but loved having a good time with his close friends and family. In his spare time, James enjoyed working on and showing off his vintage trucks and hot rods, listening to 70’s rock, especially Creedence Clearwater Revival, fishing, and watching his favorite movie, The Big Lebowski. He considered himself an “ordained minister of dudeism” and never took anything to seriously. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Frank and Dorothy, James is preceded in death by his brother, David Fox.
Left to cherish his memory, James leaves behind his loving wife, Mildred Fox; 3 children, Melyssa Fox, Jennifer Fox Bowen (Chris), and James Fox Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea Fox, Warren Fox, Makayla Blackburn, Olivia Fox Foltman, and Abigael Fox; 5 siblings, Linda Fox, Shirley Viers, Frank Fox Jr., Fred Fox, and Mike Fox; 3 nephews, Price Viers, Mark Viers, and Chuck Viers; and a host of extended family and close friends.
