James Larry Jeffries, 77 of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Larry was born on August 14, 1947, in Corinth, Mississippi. He is a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and a loyal friend, and a proud United States Marine. Larry leaves behind a legacy of honor, service and love.

Larry loved serving the Lord alongside his church family of Rock of Hope in Sellersburg, IN. He had a heart for the youth group. He never missed an opportunity to chaperone an event and always looked forward to Calvary Apostolic Church annual Otter Creek weekend. He was an amazing roller-skater, he loved camping, fishing, hiking and roller coasters! He was so adventurous and loved to travel.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Schilt, his father Paul Schilt, his nephew, Steven Mark Schilt and his great nephew, Isaiah Lamkin. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresita Jeffries, two children: daughter Sherry Chandler (Dean), son Scott Jeffries (Kathy), three siblings: brother Wayne Jeffries (Margaret), brother Steven Schilt (Yvonna), sister Melody Grimes, his Uncle Myrl King, six grandchildren: Brittany Johnson (Caleb), Kiersten Stone (Wesley), Devan Gibson (Katie), Kaylee Jeffries, Katelyn Hattabaugh (Austin) and Tyler Flannery (Ariel) and six great grandchildren: Oliver & Rhett Johnson, Erin & Iris Flannery, Oaks Gibson,  Eleanor Stone and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
