James Charles Ralston, 90, was born in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Louise and Elsworth Ralston. He was married to Robbie Mae Ralston for 67 years, until her death in 2019. James is also preceded in death by his brother, Elsworth Ralston of Lakeland, Florida.
James was a funny man; it was his humor that caught the attention of Robbie Mae. They were married on September 29, 1951. James was a Jehovah's Witness, being baptized on September 20, 1942 at 11 years old. He graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Accounting. James retired from Michelin Tires where he was the company accountant for many years. He was always very methodical with numbers and record keeping, even holding on to organized receipts for decades. James loved spending time with his family, especially when meals were involved. He was a skilled gardener and often ate crops from his own garden.
Left to cherish James' memory is his son, David (Penny) Ralston; Granddaughter, Amanda (Jeff) Murray of Borden, Indiana; 9 Nieces and Nephews; 2 sister-in-laws, Evelyn (Ray) Rhodes and Lois Harrison of Louisville, Kentucky.; and a host of other family and friends.
There will be a virtual memorial service on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00pm. Those interested in attending are welcome to reach out to the family for details.
