James W. Murphy

James W. Murphy, age 77, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024. He was born in Elizabethtown, KY on April 1, 1947 to the late Benjamin and Sue Murphy.

James was employed by Meldisco for 40 plus years. He enjoyed vacationing/traveling, hunting with his kids, social gatherings with friends and family, and playing cards.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his son, James Darrin, and his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloria Murphy; his son, James Neil Murphy; and his grandchildren, January Murphy, Zachary Murphy and Christopher (Danielle) Richardson.

Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway on Saturday, May 25 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
