James "Jim" Pangburn

James “Jim” Pangburn, 67, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on January 7, 2022. Scott Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care and the family has chosen cremation. There will be a Celebration of Life, one last party, in his honor at Drifters Bar and Grill, 7639 S State Rte 135, New Pekin, IN Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 1:00 PM.

Jim was born in Goshen, Indiana, to Gail & Florence Pangburn on February 6, 1954, alongside 6 siblings. He went on to have two children of his own, Anthony Pangburn & Heather (Pangburn) Hoven. Jim was a diehard biker; last summer he took a 21-day trip with his bike, tent, and a few necessities to visit many places including Pikes Peak, Monument Valley, and watched his grandson get married. He rode every day he could. Jim tried to learn something new each day; He loved and lived life for his family and friends. He never met a stranger and talked to everyone he met.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Pangburn; his son, Anthony Pangburn; his first wife, Martha; his grandson, Isaac Hoven; his niece, Valerie Pangburn

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Heather (Shane) Hoven of Topeka, Kansas; his grandchildren, Shane Michael (Mikayla McQueen) Hoven Jr.; his siblings; Calvin (Terry) Pangburn of Hot Springs, South Dakota; Sandra (Albert) Fowler of Bloomfield, Iowa; Marsheila Pangburn of Grand Junction, Colorado; Edward Pangburn of Grand Junction, Colorado; Terry Pangburn of Moulton, Iowa; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Pangburn of Centerville, Iowa; Kristopher Pangburn of Numa, Iowa; Jason Pangburn of Akron, Iowa; Brenda Robinson of Clinton, Missouri; Brian Pangburn of Rapid City, South Dakota; Tracy Wendland of Mystic, Iowa; Shaun Pangburn, Pete Fowler, Luke Fowler of Colorado; Walter Fowler of Bloomfield, Iowa; Suny Fowler of Bloomfield, Iowa; Dustin Hope, Leah Hope of California; Anna, & Sabrina, as well as many other family members and friends who will miss him very much.
